Being participants of “Summer in Vietnam 2010 “ you will have chance to travel many Vietnamese vestiges, places of interest from Ho Chi Minh City to Hue. With four special subjects including History, Culture, Social Activities, Vietnamese Economy and many more cultural exchanges, you will have interesting experiences during period in Vietnam.
History
Participating in “Summer in Vietnam 2010“to have chance to know about the history of a country which underwent thousand years with many significant events.
Subject “History” will lead you from feudal system to modern history of Vietnam.
Visiting “Cu Chi Tunnel” to contemplate the stubborn resistance base during both wars of liberation to against French colonialism and American imperialism. Coming to Hue ancient capital, a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO, you will have a look for a unique city of Vietnam still remains its form of city under Middle Age and the constructions of monarchic.
Culture
Students taking part in “ Summer in Vietnam 2010” will learn a special culture subject that covers almost cultural uniqueness of Vietnam such as the floating market on Western area, the costumes, languages, eating and cooking, art and so on.
During this course, you will discover flower gardens, colored lantern, and royal music, Hue National Culture School, the oldest school which connect closely to a history as well as culture of Vietnam.
You will know how to make a kite, how to write calligraphy freely, that is original culture than you can know only in our program.
Social Activities
Do you wish to do some meaningful activities in this summer? Why are you still be hesitating to participate in “ Summer in Vietnam 2010”. You will mix with Vietnamese students to take “Green Summer Campaign“, a traditional annual activity which has affect through all region of Vietnam to help the victim of Agent Orange, the poor as well as the orphan in hard areas.
Two days to live and to work with Vietnamese student at poor region of Vietnam with practical activities such as building houses and teaching English for children. Available only in our program, participating to experience a social activity that million Vietnamese students have done all over years
Economy
You know to Vietnam as magnanimous country which has gone through many wars. You know to Vietnamese as resilient, indomitable people and do you know how Vietnam look like today? Now, an enjoyable thing in our program is that you have chance to know and discuss about Vietnam economy in the integrated period.
Visiting two large industrial zones and discussing about the current Vietnam economy will make you surprise how dynamic Vietnam change after a long period of wars.
